UpRead - Using and configuring the app

To start fast reading, hold a finger on the big button at the bottom of the screen. Keep the finger on the screen to keep reading. Release it to stop. You can keep the finger in any position on the screen while reading. You can also start the fast reading by double tapping the same button and tap the screen again to stop.

Change the reading speed and configure the reader from the menu in the top right corner. Extra configurations are available in the “More” section. You can configure the app, the font size of the fast reader and of the text, enable or disable the focus point and more.

You can jump anywhere in the text. Tap any word to move the cursor to it. The current cursor word will be highlighted and the fast reading will start from it.

You can also view the original article from the top-right menu. This is useful when you need to troubleshoot imports or there are some images that are relevant.

When you import something to UpRead, we add it to the “To Read” list. You can archive or delete articles from this list by swiping left an article and select the proper option. You can also archive an article from the reading page, by tapping the cardboard box icon at the top.
Archived articles will be moved to the “Archived” list. Deleted articles will be removed from the app.
