Managing subscriptions on iOS

Managing subscriptions on iOS

If you have the app installed

Go to the settings menu. From there, you'll see a "Manage subscriptions" option. Tap it and you'll be directed to the system management page, where you can cancel or edit your subscription preferences

If you're using the device on which you enabled the app

Just click this link. It should bring you directly to the subscription management page, where you can cancel the subscription or switch to a different option if you like.
If the app is not listed in the active subscriptions it means the subscription has not been activated at all! Remember: downloading an app does not activate a subscription. Subscriptions must be activated and confirmed inside the app.

Otherwise

Grab the device involved and follow this instructions:

  1. Go to Settings > [your name] > iTunes & App Store.
  2. Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen.
  3. Tap View Apple ID. You might need to authenticate your Apple ID.
  4. Tap Subscriptions.
  5. Tap the subscription that you want to manage.
  6. Use the options to manage your subscription. You can choose a different subscription offering, or tap Cancel Subscription to cancel your subscription. If you cancel, your subscription will stop at the end of the current billing cycle.

Refunds

If you paid by mistake, you can request a refund through the Apple customer support. Here's the official documentation for that.

You can find the official Apple documentation here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202039#subscriptions. The language selector is at the bottom of the page.

To date, deleting the app is not enough to cancel the subscription. Make sure to follow the procedure above. Unfortunately this is not something that depends on me, it is wired inside iOS. There's nothing I can do about it!
